Welcome to the web site of the USS Pawcatuck AO-108.
Hello once again from sunny Arizona. To those who did not attend our reunion this year in San Antonio, Tx from the 3rd to the 6th of May. Once again we had a great time. Our ladies once again did a lot of work and with a lot of help from those who brought items and they raised over $1100.00 for our scholorship fund. My thanks to the ladies.
The tours went well and saw some interesting places.
I would like to thank my asst. coordinator Mark McPherson for doing a great job and of course he is our chaplin and conducts a great Memorial Service. He is the best. To all the shipmates who are on the committee thanks for your help while at the reunion.
At our annual meeting those that came votes to go to Chattanooga, Tn. for our 2011 reunion. Time frame will be April or May. At this time we do not have the dates. Will update this when we get them. We also have the city for 2012 and the reunion will be in Pawcatuck, Ct. The reason for this city is if you read the last update on this site it was mentioned that a memorial stone and plaques had been placed in a park in Pawcatuck, Ct. The memorial has not been dedicated so the people back there agreed to wait and dedicate the memorial and we inturn would have our reunion there. The dates will be one of the two. The 8th to the 11th of May or the 9th to the 12th 2012. The reason is that the ship was commissioned on the 10th of May 1946. I will keep the web site updated as we get closer to 2012.
There will be some pictures added to the web site in a few weeks.
Once again please come to our reunions as we miss many of you that have come other times and then we do not see you. Remember all shipmates and family members our part of the Pawcatuck Family. See you next year in Chattagoona.
